Summary

This is a repost of my 1-100 Tanks and vehicles collection.



Why? Because a hugely rich on-line tank game company decided to take down everything on thingiverse which committed the sin of using their name in the tags, or even just in the tags of derivatives. And this site says you can file a DMCA counterclaim, and if the complainant decides not to take it to court, they'll reinstate it. Given the size and reputation of the complainant, that's a no-win game for private persons even when you do have a case. I can't be bothered.



Rebuilding this took 20 hours of uploading, due to my slow connection. But it's done now. I wasn't even going to do it, but several commercial customers requested it.



I've had a kind offer from wargaming3d.com, and frankly there's a good chance all new updates will go there first, because I've lost faith in this site after this second DMCA takedown.



REMEMBER don't use a trademarked name in your tags!!



POSTSCRIPT The last two packs I hadn't had time to reupload have come back all by themselves. The DMCA notice must have been reversed. Pity it didn't happen before my epic upload, but that's life, which now goes on.



My definition of Commercial Use is:

ADVERTISING MY ITEMS FOR SALE

i.e. webshop, ebay, etc.



ALL other usage is non-commercial, as far as I'm concerned.

Word-of-mouth, requests, 3D hub stuff, all OK, at any quantities.



Commercial sales are licensed at 5% of retail price (ex postage, painting/finishing & sales tax). ( I don't believe in profiting from work that isn't my own.)

Payments are done monthly through Paypal.

100% of license fees are donated by myself to the MS Society of NZ.

It became obvious that most people are printing my 1:200 tanks for wargaming, so I decided to redetail some of them to suit the scale. A secondary consideration was to ensure that the details would still be printable on my Form 1 SLA printer at 1:200. Since then, it has been by far the most popular scale, and most of my work has been 1:100.



These tanks are designed for EXPERTS only. If you don't already know the answer to your questions, please go instead to the 1:200 sets, which are much more forgiving to print.



Printed at 0.2mm layers, 0mm support limit, 80degree support angle in ABS on UP plus 2.

Vehicles are either reworked versions of my 1:200 tanks, or newly drawn. All models drawn in Solidworks. Parasolid versions included in the zip files



All vehicles printed sitting on their tracks. All turrets printed with their guns horizontal.

Printed at 0.2mm layers, 0mm support limit, 80degree support angle in ABS on UP plus 2. Obviously a finer Z resolution would look better, but it's a matter of time-to-print which determined my choice.



Sdkfz 250-b1 printed with 45degree support angle to prevent the inside being filled in with support structure.



I advise that you in all cases clear out the support from between the tracks underneath the vehicle first. This will enable the outside support structure to be levered off without too much trouble.

In cases where the support doesn't want to come free, cut carefully down through the supports beside the model with a sharp xacto knife to break the support.



Printing on the Form 2, I sat the vehicles and turrets up on their tails, set contact points to 0.5mm. Just keep an eye on where Preform places the contact points, because sometimes the positions are less than optimal, and need to be edited...
